In 2018, Daniel Hill is in his second year with the Illinois Wesleyan football program as a graduate assistant. He works with the wide receivers, specialist and punting team.

After playing football in his home state of Ohio, Hill went into coaching as an undergraduate at Ball State University. Hill worked as a student assistant for football in a number of capacities from 2013-17, mainly as special teams and running backs quality control.
At Ball State, Hill worked alongside coaching staffs that produced nationally-ranked special teams and running backs. Cardinal special teams were ranked in the top three in the Mid-American Conference. In 2014, Ball State was nationally-ranked in kickoff returns (12th) and kickoff return defense (10th). Offensively, Hill worked with a position group that produced two all-MAC running backs and two team captains.

Hill graduated summa cum laude from Ball State with a bachelor of science degree in history and social studies education. He is married to Katelyn Nicole (Warner) Hill, who is the assistant director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center of McLean County at Illinois Wesleyan.
