Veteran high school kicking coach Charles "Bud" Concklin joined the Illinois Wesleyan football staff prior to the 2016 season.
A 1974 Illinois Wesleyan graduate, Concklin coached kickers, punters and special teams at Bloomington Central Catholic High School from 1983 to 2014. During that time, the Saints won Illinois state championships three times - 1987 (class 1A), 1994 (class 3A) and 2008 (class 4A).
Concklin attended Central Catholic when it was Trinity High School and graduated in 1961. He was in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1966. He worked at Bloomington's Clemens Insurance Company for 28 years before retiring in 2011.
