In 2015, Mike Brown is In his 19th year as a part-time assistant with the Titan baseball program.

Brown was a catcher during his Illinois Wesleyan playing career and was the 1991 "Jack Horenberger Most Outstanding Player" in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin as he batted .326 with 11 doubles, eight homers and 29 RBI in 1991 and had a .597 slugging percentage. Five of those home runs were hit in CCIW play. He was also the Titans' "Most Valuable Player" in 1991.

As a sophomore in 1990, Brown clubbed 11 doubles and had 30 RBI.

After his IWU playing days he played in the minor league system of the Los Angeles Dodgers, participating with the major league team in a spring training game. He played in the Dodgers' system for teams in Great Falls (Mont.), Yakima (Wash.) and Vero Beach (Fla.). Go here for a career overview of his professional career.

He is the owner of Brown Capital Investments in Peoria, Ill., and the father of Thadden and Sophie.
