Michel collects main draw win, Ehrlich resumes back-draw play tomorrow

KALAMAZOO, Mich.- Freshman Alassea Michel (Dunlap, Ill.-Dunlap) earned a first round win as the Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team began play at the ITA Central Regional hosted by Kalamazoo College, Friday, Sept. 25.

Michel took down Annemarie Stogsdill of Hanover College, 5-7, 6-2, 10-5 before falling in the round of 64.

In doubles, Michel and senior Amber Ehrlich (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) fell to Anna Maria Huebel and Colleen Larry of Augustana in the opening round.

Ehrlich dropped her opening match to Case Western Reserve University's Victoria Vasquez. Ehrlich moves to the consolation bracket, where she'll face Ohio Northern University's Caroline Allen in the round of 32 tomorrow, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m. ET.
