BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team fell to College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opponent North Park University, 6-1, Saturday, Sept. 19 at Evergreen Racquet Club. The Titans move to 2-3 (1-2 CCIW) while NPU jumps to 2-2 (1-2 CCIW).
The Green and White earned the win in the No. 1 doubles slot from freshman Alassea Michel (Dunlap, Ill.-Dunlap) and senior Amber Ehrlich (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood), 6-3. However, North Park claimed the next two doubles matches to grab the point.
In singles, sophomore Adia Douglas (Flossmoor, Ill.-Homewood-Flossmoor) picked up the lone win for the Titans, beating NPU's Nova Mickelsson, 6-2, 6-2. Douglas improves to 5-0 in singles on the season.
The Titans are back at Evergreen Racquet Club tomorrow, Sunday, Sept. 20 as they face off against Concordia University Chicago. First serve is slated for 10:30 a.m. with the IWU men's tennis match against CUC to follow.
