CCIW Release

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - After a career-best day, junior Nate Pound (Theinsville, Wis.-Homestead) of the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team earned his first career College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week honor, announced by the organization Tuesday, April 14.

Pound led the Green and White offense to a 1-0 week with a 25-5 win over Carroll University Saturday, April 11. The junior tied for the team-high with eight points behind four goals and four assists. All three marks shattered his previous career-bests, while he added a ground ball and caused a turnover.

Pound is the fourth Titan this season to earn a weekly accolade. He joins Billy McHugh (defensive, Feb. 17), Timothy McHugh (offensive, March 10), and Owen Miller (offensive, March 31) on the list of IWU awardees.

Illinois Wesleyan hosts Carthage College Saturday, April 18. The 1 p.m. contest will see the Green and White recognize its senior class for Senior Day prior to the start of the game.
