BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team resumes its spring slate in the Sunshine State with four matches scheduled in the greater Orlando area.
IWU (8-5) is coming off of a 5-2 win over Principia College in its spring opener, Feb. 21. The Green and White swept the doubles session while claiming four of the six singles contests.
IWU opens its trip with Coe College, Sunday, March 15. The Kohawks (9-2) finished second in the American Rivers Conference regular season standings. This is the first meeting between the Titans and Kohawks since 2008. First serve from the USTA National Campus is scheduled for 9 a.m. ET.
The Titans take on Edgewood College, Monday, March 16 at 8 a.m. ET. The Eagles won 6-1 over Lawrence University, March 1. In the last meeting between the Eagles and Titans in 2009, IWU won 7-2 in Orlando, Fla.
Shippensburg University awaits the Green and White, Wednesday, March 17 at 8 a.m. This is the first-ever match between the teams. The Division II squad sits at 3-3, sweeping Bowie State, 4-0, March 7.
IWU concludes its trip against Crown College (0-5). This is the inaugural meeting between the schools with Crown most recently dropping a 6-1 match to St. Mary's, Feb. 20.
