2/27/2026 2:30:00 PM

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The No. 20 Illinois Wesleyan University softball team makes the six and a half hour trek to Eau Claire, Wis. this weekend, Feb. 28-March 1, for the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Tournament. IWU will face Simpson College in a doubleheader Saturday, Feb. 28, before battling St. Catherine University and UWEC Sunday, March 1. All games will be played in UW-Eau Claire's indoor facility.

The Titans enter the weekend with an even 1-1 standing following a split with Illinois College, Feb. 18. The Green and White edged out IC, 3-2, in game one before falling in five innings in game two.

Illinois Wesleyan holds a combined record of 15-9 versus this weekend's competition. The Titans are 3-3 against Simpson, 11-6 versus UW-Eau Claire, and 1-0 in a single game with St. Kate's. IWU and the Storm will meet for the first time since the Green and White escaped Florida with a 7-3 win in 2015. Illinois Wesleyan and UW-Eau Claire split a twin bill at Inspiration Field last season, while the Titans' lone meeting with the Wildcats came in Oklahoma City in 2017. Playing in the Division III World Series, IWU blanked St. Kate's, 7-0.

With just two games in the books, the Green and White have four players hitting .400-or-better, while the pitching staff has allowed just one extra-base hit thus far.
