BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team opens its spring season in Elsah, Ill. against Principia College, Saturday, Feb. 21. Competition is slated to begin at 1 p.m.

The Titans are coming off of a 7-5 fall season that included a 3-5 league mark. Junior Amber Ehrlich (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) earned her third all-conference recognition and freshman Elana Religioso (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet) closed with a perfect 12-0 singles record.

With the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference's traditional season in the spring, Principia opens their 2025-2026 slate against IWU. Last season, the Panthers went 3-9 and finished third in the UMAC.

This is the first meeting between IWU and Principia since Sept. 18, 2021 where the Titans won 5-4 behind two doubles victories and three singles wins that included two-win matches from Katelyn Heller, Marissa Hagler, and Maria Poehls.

Results will be posted on iwusports.com upon the completion of the match.
