Women’s Hoops Hits 15th in D3hoops Top-25

Titans rise three slots

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Rising in the rankings, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's basketball team moved up to No. 15 in the D3hoops.com Top-25 poll released Monday night, Feb. 16. The Titans received 243 points to move up three slots.

The Green and White picked up a key, 64-52, College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin win against Carthage College, Feb. 11. The win boosted IWU's record to 18-5 overall and 13-1 in conference action. 

NYU kept control at No. 1 with 20 first-place votes and 619 points. Scranton, who received the remaining first-place nods, sits second with 605 points. Johns Hopkins (565), Washington & Lee (544), and UW-Oshkosh (496) are slotted third through fifth, respectively.

Illinois Wesleyan is back in action at home Wednesday, Feb. 18, as Wheaton College pays a visit to the Shirk Center. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
