Titan Table Talk: Season 3, Episode 1

Titan Table Talk is back for its third full season as IWU athletics kicks off the fall campaign. Emma Thorman, week one host, welcomes head football coach Jared Williamson to the show along with co-captains Joey DeMaio and Dermot Smyth. With women's volleyball off to its best start since 2021, head coach Kim Nelson-Brown and All-IWU Tournament I picks Kannyn Boyd and Alex Bardouniotis hop on to talk about the team's 3-0 week and its upcoming trip to Texas.

0:00 – Head Football Coach Jared Williamson We kick things off with Coach Williamson, who talks about the leadership he's seeing from his captains, the energy from a brand-new coaching staff, and what it's like replacing such a large senior class. He also takes us inside this week's prep for Central College, shares what he saw in the team's first scrimmage, and reflects on what this year's senior group means to him.

They talk about adjusting to the first head coaching change in nearly 40 years, how the program is moving forward after graduating one of the biggest senior classes ever, and the way the team is coming together during this transition.

20:53 – Women's Volleyball Head Coach Kim Nelson-Brown Then we switch over to volleyball with Coach Nelson-Brown, who opens by looking back at a big opening weekend that included a sweep of No. 20 Chicago. She highlights some of the newcomers making an immediate impact, reflects on what keeps her motivated as she enters year 30 at IWU, and talks about the special experience of coaching alongside her daughter, Tyler White.

30:22 – Volleyball Players Alex Bardouniotis & Kannyn Boyd We wrap things up with Alex and Kannyn, who share their excitement about the team's strong start and the energy they're feeling early this season.
