Men’s Golf Concludes Round One at Division III Preview

Next two rounds to be played at El Campeon

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The eighth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team sits in 22nd-place at the NCAA Division III Preview after an opening round 306 at the 6856-yard, par 71 Las Colinas course at Mission Inn Resort & Club Sunday, Sept. 21. The tournament will conclude with the final two rounds Monday-Tuesday, Sept. 22-23 at the 6750-yard El Campeon course.

Senior Aidan Healy (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln-Way West) was the top scorer for the Titans, carding a two-over opening round of 73 and sitting in 37th-place. Jackson Hiller of Oglethorpe leads the way after his five-under 66.

No. 10 Kenyon sits in first on the team side of the event after posting a six-under 278. No. 6 Emory, No. 5 Huntingdon, No. 3 Oglethorpe, No. 7 Methodist, and No. 15 Southwestern round out the top-five.
