ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team fell to College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe, Augustana College, 4-3, Saturday, Sept. 13. The Titans fall to 2-2 (0-2) on the season, while the Vikings improve to 2-0 (2-0).

At the top doubles spot, juniors Amber Ehrlich (Springfield, Ill. - Glenwood) and Olivia Bell (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) defeated Augie's Hannah Colbert and Colleen Larry, 6-3. Augustana took the other two doubles matches to claim the point. 

In singles play, Augustana won at No. 2 singles. Freshman Elana Religioso (Mahomet, Ill. - Mahomet) got the Titans on the board with a 6-1, 6-3 win over Maddy Harned in the No. 6 singles bout. Bell followed with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 4 singles to even the match at 2-2. Freshman Adia Douglas (Flossmoor, Ill. - Homewood-Flossmoor) put the Green and White ahead with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph at five singles, defeating Natasha Gauerke. Following a Vikings' win at the top singles spot, Anna-Maria Huebel clinched the match for Augustana at No. 3 singles with a 2-6, 6-1, 5-0 (ret) win over sophomore Katie Van Heuklon (Normal, Ill. - Normal West).

The Green and White remain on the road this Tuesday, Sept. 16 at Monmouth College. First serve is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
