BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – With one final regular season game remaining, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team will host College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rival Carroll University on Saturday, April 26, for a senior day matinee. The game is scheduled for a noon start inside Tucci Stadium and will kick off a doubleheader, with the IWU women's lacrosse team taking the field at 3 p.m.

Illinois Wesleyan (11-2, 3-0 CCIW) will be presented the CCIW Regular Season Championship trophy and banner on Saturday as the Titans locked in the No. 1 seed for the league tournament and at least a share of the title after with their 12-11 comeback win over Elmhurst University last Saturday, April 19. The victory also marked the 150th career win for head coach Zach Iannucci (150-47).

Fifth-year Bob Boone (Los Angeles, Calif.-Notre Dame) led the team in the win with five points on two gaols and three assists , including the game-winning goal with just 12 seconds to spare. The performance notched CCIW Offensive Player of the Week honors for Boone, the fifth weekly award for the Titans this season.

Senior Nick Schroeder (Waunakee, Wis.-Waunakee) went 10-for-24 at the X while sharing a team-lead six ground balls with senior Sam Skelton (Portland, Ore.-Franklin). Skelton also had a team-high three caused turnovers while senior goalie Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) spent all 60 minutes in goal, totaling 14 saves and holding the Bluejays to their second-lowest point total this season.

Sophomore Timothy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel) continues to lead the team in points, totaling 60 through 13 games this season, on 20 goals and 40 assists. The sophomore tops the conference with his 3.08 assists per game and is third in the league with 4.62 points per game. Additionally, McHugh ranks 13th across Division III this season in assists per game.

Fifth-year Ike Eastburn (Colorado Springs, Colo.-Cheyenne Mountain) ranks sixth in Division III with a .532 shot percentage and sits 35th nationally with 3.23 goals per game. Eastburn is second on the team in points with 43, with 42 of those being from goals and one assist.

IWU's defensive front continues to impress, leading the conference in both caused turnovers per game (11.77) and ground balls per game (39.92). The Titan defense also holds national rankings of 31st and 26th in those categories, respectively. IWU also ranks ninth in Division III in team winning percentage (.846).

The Green and White are riding a five-game win streak and are vying for their seventh straight perfect season in CCIW action. Carroll brings a 5-8 and 0-3 CCIW record to Bloomington, after dropping its most recent contest to Elmhurst Wednesday, April 24 in a 16-4 showing.

Illinois Wesleyan's history with Carroll spans just over a decade, with the Titans owning a 9-0 series history against the Pioneers. Last season's regular season matchup in Waukesha saw IWU take down CU 29-4, with 20 Titans getting in on the scoring action.
