Holland Hauls in Second CCIW Pitcher of the Week Award

Fifth weekly award by a Titan this season

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Sophomore pitcher Mallory Holland (Shelbyville, Ill.-Shelbyville) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season Monday afternoon, April 21, after leading the Illinois Wesleyan University softball team to a 6-0 week.

Holland, the conference's earned run average leader, helped propel IWU to sweeps of Millikin, Wheaton, and Elmhurst, April 15-19. She chewed up a team-high 17.2 innings over five appearances, including two starts. She totaled a 1.98 earned run average and limited opponents to an abysmal .119 batting average with six strikeouts. Holland posted a 2-0 record on the week, while also adding a key relief appearance in IWU's win over Wheaton, April 18.

Illinois Wesleyan hosts North Central College this Wednesday, April 23, for a key league twin bill. The Titans and Cardinals are scheduled for a 3 p.m. first pitch at Inspiration Field.
