Ludwig Lauded for Record-Setting Performance

Effingham, Ill. native earns sixth weekly award of her career

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - A record-breaking performance in Iowa landed Illinois Wesleyan University senior women's golfer Macy Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony) College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Golfer of the Week honors Wednesday, April 16. It is the sixth weekly league recognition of Ludwig's career.

Ludwig led the Titans to a first-place finish at the Wartburg Spring Invite, April 4-5. On day one of the 36-hole event, she broke her own single-round record as she fired a six-under 66 at Prairie Links Golf Course. The senior used six birdies and an eagle on her final hole, the par-four, 316-yard 18th hole, to reset the record. Ludwig went on to finish second in the field with a total of even-par, 144.

In all, the Effingham, Ill. product has placed in the top-five in four tournaments this season. She has finished in the top-two three times and inside the top-20 in seven tournaments.

Ludwig and the Titans look ahead to the NCAA Division III National Tournament, scheduled for next month in Williamsburg, Va.
