Women’s Tennis Drops Regular Season Finale at Greenville

CCIW Tournament up next for Titans, April 24

GREENVILLE, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team fell in non-conference action Saturday, April 12, to Greenville University 6-1. The Titans' overall record dips to 8-11 on the year, while Greenville climbs to 10-6.

Sophomores Amber Ehrlich (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) and Olivia Bell (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) secured the 7-6 win at No. 1 doubles, but Greenville's No. 2 and No. 3 pairs came away with the wins to take the point in doubles action.

Senior Kate Christian (Washington, Ill.-Washington Community) battled Greenville's Callie Adkins at No. 5 singles, and ultimately came out ahead with set scores of 7-6, 6-3 to pick up the Titans' sole point in the match.

Illinois Wesleyan turns its attention back to conference play as the Titans face North Park University in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament quarterfinals Thursday, April 24 at 11:30 a.m. Millikin University will host the league tournament at Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Ill.
