BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – After three straight games on the road, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team returns to the familiar confines of Tucci Stadium, Saturday, March 29, as the Titans host Adrian College for a 2 p.m. game during Illinois Wesleyan's St. Jude weekend.

The Titans will wear St. Jude t-shirts during warm-ups in honor of St. Jude Children's Hospital, while members of IWU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be selling 50-50 raffle tickets and stationing a t-shirt sale and donation table.

Illinois Wesleyan is coming off an 18-15 comeback win over Calvin University, Saturday, March 22. Leading the Titans was sophomore Timothy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel), who was named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week after putting together a career-high nine-point showing on five goals and four assists. Fifth-year Ike Easburn (Colorado Springs, Colo.-Cheyenne Mountain) was next with five points on four goals and an assist, while junior Noah Dretzka (Delafield, Wis.-Kettle Moraine) was good for four points all by way of goals.

Senior Nick Schroeder (Waunakee, Wis.-Waunakee) led the way with 11 ground balls while going 18-for-29 at the X. Junior Billy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel) had a career-high five caused turnovers while also putting away a career-high two goals against the Knights. Senior Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) served all 60 minutes in goal and totaled 12 saves on the day.

T. McHugh ranks 11th in Division III with his 3.00 assists per game. IWU as a team ranks within the top 35 nationally in caused turnovers per game (27th, 12.00), ground balls (30th, 342), ground balls per game (33rd, 38.00), and points (35th, 189).

IWU and Adrian have only met twice before, nearly a decade ago, with Adrian taking the initial meeting 13-10 (March 14, 2015) and the Titans taking the most recent meeting 29-13 (March 12, 2016).

Illinois Wesleyan's 2 p.m. game on Saturday will serve as the second half of a double feature with the IWU women's lacrosse team.  The contest will be available via live stats and live stream. Access to both can be found here or on the men's lacrosse schedule page of iwusports.com.
