BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – After four straight games on the road to kick off the season, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team is set to host Albion College, Saturday, March 1, for its first home contest of the 2025 season. Game time at Tucci Stadium is set for 1 p.m. and will serve as the first half of a doubleheader with the IWU women's lacrosse team, which hosts Edgewood College at 4 p.m.

The Titans are coming off a Wednesday night road win over Benedictine University, Feb. 26. IWU took down the Eagles 13-9 in the midweek matchup to move to 4-0 on the year. Leading the way for the Titans offensively, was sophomore Timothy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel), who totaled six points in the contest off assists and one goal. Fifth-year Ike Eastburn (Colorado Springs, Colo.-Cheyenne Mountain) nearly had the reverse, with five goals scored.

Senior Nick Schroeder (Waunakee, Wis.-Waunakee) went 17-for-19 at the X and totaled a team-lead five ground balls while senior goalie Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn), faced only 22 shots on the night and totaled five saves while notching a team-high three caused turnovers.

McHugh continues to lead the CCIW and ranks eighth nationally with a 4.00 assists per game average, as the sophomore has totaled 16 helpers over four games. Eastburn sits third in the conference with a 4.00 goals per game average with 16 goals on the season. Tervo's 12.25 saves per game rank third in the conference.

As a team, IWU ranks eighth across Division III in assists with 38, in addition to scoring the 10th-most points nationally with 97 on the young season.

Albion brings a 2-1 record into Saturday's meeting. The Titans have squared off with the Britons of Albion just once before, with IWU taking the 15-8 victory back on March 23, 2024 when then-junior Sam Weinberg (Highwood, Ill.-Highwood) scored a hat-trick in front of goals from McHugh, Eastburn, then-sophomores Kaden Gammelgaard (Lake Zurich, Ill.-Lake Zurich) and Noah Dretzka (Delafield, Wis.-Kettle Moraine), and then-juniors John Kittoe (Waunakee, Wis.-Waunakee) and Nick Horrocks (Boulder, Colo.-Fairview)

The Green and White's home opener Saturday, March 1, is set for a 1 p.m. start at Tucci Stadium ahead of the IWU women's lacrosse game against Edgewood at 4 p.m.

The match will be available via live stats and live stream. Access to both live stats and live stream can be found here or on the men's lacrosse schedule page of iwusports.com.
