INDIANAPOLIS - The eighth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team sits in fourth place after the opening 36 holes at the 6,904-yard, par-72 Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis Monday, Oct. 6. The Illinois Wesleyan 'A' squad shot rounds of 295 and 282, just behind the IWU 'B' team, firing rounds of 282 and 283.

Senior Aidan Healy (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln-Way West) continued his brilliant senior campaign, firing a career-best tying five-under 67 in the second round, after his opening round even-par 72. Healy is the lone Titan in the top-five as he shares a piece of fourth-place. Freshman Ben Gelven (St. Louis, Mo.-Mary Institute and Country Day School), playing on IWU's 'B' squad, fired the low round of the tournament thus far in his second round, carding a seven-under, bogey-free 65, which marks a new career-best in his young career. Gelven took 10 shots off of his opening round, placing himself in seventh after 36-holes. Also playing on the Titan's 'B' team, fellow freshman Ryan Andrews (Libertyville, Ill.-Libertyville) fired a career-best four-under 68 in his opening round and sits in a tie for ninth-place.

No. 6 Emory leads the tournament after their impressive 17-under-par second round and holds a 36-hole total of 555. No. 2 Carnegie Mellon sits in the second spot (559), while the Illinois Wesleyan 'B' and 'A' teams follow with scores of 565 and 577, respectively. Emory's Kevin Mu leads the tournament individually at 10 under-par.
