Healy Earns Second CCIW Golfer of the Week Award of the Season

Fourth week in-a-row Titan has earned the honor

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University senior men's golfer Aidan Healy (New Lenox, Ill.-Lincoln-Way West) earned his second College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Golfer of the Week honors of the season, as announced by the league office Wednesday, Oct. 14. The weekly honor marks the second of his career, as he earned it most recently on Sept. 24, and the fourth consecutive week that a Titan has won the award.

Healy led the fifth-ranked Illinois Wesleyan men's golf team to a third-place finish at the Wabash Invitational, hosted at Broadmoor Country Club in Indianapolis Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 6-7. Healy individually claimed a share of third-place, which marks his second top-three finish of the season. Healy's 54-hole score of six-under, 210, was a new career-low, while his round two score of five-under, 67, tied his career best. Healy's 14 birdies and one eagle in 54-holes aided the Titan team to a top-three finish, falling only to No. 1 Emory and No. 4 Carnegie Mellon.

Healy and the Titans wrapped up the fall season at the Tartan Invitational Monday-Tuesday, Oct. 13-14, as IWU picked up a runner-up finish in the loaded field.
