Women’s Tennis Eyes Fall Slate Finisher against Elmhurst

IWU has won the last three matches against the Blue Jays

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team concludes its fall slate with a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin match against Elmhurst University at Evergreen Racquet Club in Bloomington, Ill. Wednesday, Oct. 15. First serve is scheduled for 3 p.m.

In IWU's (6-5, 2-5 CCIW) 4-3 defeat to North Park University, Saturday, Oct. 11, the Titans swept the doubles slate. Juniors Amber Ehrlich (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) and Olivia Bell (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington) defeated Emilia Sand and Katarina Sandberg, 7-5. Sophomores Gabi Lipske (Gurnee, Ill.-Mundelein) and Katie Van Heuklon (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) took down Alexandra Pugachova and Thea Gifvars, 6-4 at two doubles.  Freshmen Elana Religioso (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet) and Adia Douglas (Flossmoor, Ill.-Homewood Flossmoor) emerged victorious over Jessica Dudas and Holly Chleboun at No. 3 doubles. In singles action, Religioso and Douglas picked up wins for Illinois Wesleyan.

The Blue Jays (0-7, 0-6 CCIW) most recently fell to North Central College, 7-0, Saturday, Oct. 11. The Green and White has won three straight over Elmhurst, including a 9-0 win in 2023-24 and a 7-0 blanking in 2024-25.
