BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After a successful week prior, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's soccer team is set to play Rockford University Friday, Sept. 13. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Neis Field.

Junior Logan Tierney (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) was named this week's College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Offensive Player awardwinner, Sept. 10, from his stellar performance from last week's games. Tierney helped secure the 5-nil win over Blackburn with two goals and one assist to end the game with five points total. The Titans also grabbed a second win on the week against Eureka College with a 1-0 victory.

IWU has fresh legs as the Titans ready for Friday's competition with their last game being Sunday, Sept. 8. The Green and White's looking to maintain its unbeaten streak 2-0-1 record.

Rockford is 0-4-0 going into Friday's game, thirsty for its first win of the season. RU just recently took a defeat from Ripon College with a score of 5-0. RU has recently taken a, 3-1, loss from CCIW foe Millikin this past week.

IWU and the Regents have only played once before, with the meeting coming over 35 years ago in 1987. The Regents took a lopsided win over the Titans, 7-0.

Friday's kick off is set for 7 p.m. on Neis Field. You can find the live stats by clicking here, and the live stream here. Both links are also available on the men's soccer schedule page of iwusports.com.
