NAPERVILLE, Ill. - A total of 122 Illinois Wesleyan University student-athletes were recognized as part of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Dave Wrath Academic team the league office announced Thursday, June 20. Fifth-year men's golfer Bobby Beaubien (Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) and senior softball infielder Bailey Turner (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) received the Jack Swartz Award.

The CCIW Academic All-Conference list comprises those individuals who achieved an overall grade-point average of 3.30 or above and have served at least one year in residency at their respective school. 

Additionally, the CCIW announced all of the recipients of the Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference award. Each CCIW member institution selects two student-athletes (one male & one female) from each of the three sport seasons (fall, winter, spring) to be honored as Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference members. To be eligible, an individual must have an overall grade point average of 3.50 or above and have served at least one year in residency at their respective school.

Beaubien, a marketing major with a 3.58 GPA, played in 11 tournaments for the Titans in his final season donning the Green and White. He posted a team-best stroke average of 72.8 over 28 rounds. Beaubien tallied 13 rounds of par-or-better, with three top-five finishes, five top-10 placements, and nine top-20 efforts. The CCIW Men's Golfer of the Year, he claimed wins at the CCIW Preview and CCIW Championship. He recorded a single-round low of 67, firing a five-under at the conference preview. Beaubien reeled in PING All-Region status from the Golf Coaches Association of America and finished the season ranked 22nd in Clippd scoring.

Turner, the CCIW Defensive Player of the Year, concluded a great career with First Team All-CCIW accolades. She put together a career year, starting 41 games at second base with a 3.61 grade point average as a psychology major. Turner hit a career-best .402 at the plate with 47 hits, 26 runs scored, and 31 RBIs — all of which were career-highs. She boasted a slash line that included a .598 slugging percentage behind nine doubles, a triple, and four homers, while compiling a .463 on-base percentage with 13 walks. Turner was a Second Team NFCA All-Region selection, received CCIW Hitter of the Week honors, and was named to the NCAA Oshkosh Regional All-Tournament team.

Beaubien and Turner joined Brody Seaton (men's soccer), Emma Thorman (women's golf), Ethan Lowder (men's swimming), and Lauren Huber (women's basketball) as this year's Jack Swartz Award recipients from IWU.

In all, the Titans have received 300 Academic All-CCIW honors this season. A full list of those named to the Spring Dave Wrath Academic All-CCIW list can be found below.
