BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team prepares to host its last of three straight home games Saturday, April 6 as a part of IWU's annual St. Jude's Weekend. The Titans will open College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play this weekend against Augustana College. Game time is set for 1 p.m.

IWU owns a 6-3 record with a four-game win streak ahead of the weekend after taking down the University of Dubuque, 16-11, Wednesday night, April 3, inside Tucci Stadium. Senior Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) led the charge for the Green and White with six points off of four goals and two assists. Senior Ike Eastburn (Colorado Springs, Colo.-Cheyenne Mountain) went for four goals and one assist alongside sophomore Noah Dretzka's (Delafield, Ill.-Kettle Moraine) two goals and three dishes, as both Titans totaled five points apiece.

Defensively, senior Michael Campagna (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Saint Viator) led all Titans with seven ground balls and five caused turnovers. At the X, senior Zo Lombardo (Elgin, Ill.-Saint Viator) was good for 15-of-27 faceoffs. Junior goalkeeper Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) earned his sixth win in goal while totaling nine saves on the evening.

Black leads all Titans with 41 points and 26 goals on the season and ranks second on the team with 15 assists. Freshman Timothy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel) leads in the assists category with 16 dishes. Lombardo has gone 117-for-189 in faceoffs for a .618 faceoff win percentage while totaling a team-leading 42 scoops. Campagna's strong defensive pressure can be seen in his 22 caused turnovers on the year while ranking third in ground balls only behind Lombardo and Tervo (31). Tervo has taken his post inside the pipes in all nine games thus far and is one save shy of hitting 100, with a .521 save percentage.

Saturday's contest will serve as the conference opener for both IWU and Augustana as the Vikings bring a 3-5 overall record to Tucci Stadium. The Titans hold the 10-2 advantage in the series after winning the last 10 games against AC. The most recent meeting saw IWU defeat Augustana handily, 22-4, April 8, 2023. Almost a year ago to the day, Eastburn led the team with four goals against the Vikings while then-juniors Trystan Seeley (Castle Rock, Colo.-Castle View) and Black were good for two apiece while Campagna caused four turnovers.

Saturday's matinee against the Augustana is set for 1 p.m. inside Tucci Stadium. The contest will be available via live stats and live stream.
