CCIW Release

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - A pair of Illinois Wesleyan University men's golfers claimed College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Golfer of the Week honors for the second straight week, the league office announced Wednesday, April 24. Sophomore Juney Bai (Mokena, Ill.-Lincoln-Way Central) and junior Griffin Pohl (Western Springs, Ill.-Lyons Township) shared the honors after tying for second this weekend at the Take Back the Night Challenge, April 19-20. 

This marks Bai's third CCIW Golfer of the Week honor of his career and his first this season. Pohl, who shared Golfer of the Week honors last week with Quinn Clifford, garnered the second award of his career. 

Bai and Pohl tied for second with a 141, two-under total at the Take Back the Night Challenge. The pair led the Titans to a nine-shot victory, as Pohl's second round of 69 tied for the lowest round of the tournament. 

The Titans get back in action, Thursday-Saturday May 2-4, for the CCIW Championships at Weaver Ridge Golf Course in Peoria, Ill.
