BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team is set to host a pair of home contests this week with Wednesday night's non-conference game against the University of Dubuque scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start inside Tucci Stadium.

The Titans enter the week with a three-game win streak after most recently defeating Southwestern University 20-8 last Thursday, March 28. Junior Sam Weinberg (Highwood, Ill.-Oak Park River Forest) and senior Trystan Seeley (Castle Rock, Colo.-Castle View) led IWU with six points apiece as Weinberg notched an even three goals, three assists performance while Seeley was good for four goals and two dishes. Nine Titans got in on the scoring action against Southwestern while the Green and White's defense saw thirteen Titans disrupt the Pirates' offense with caused turnovers. Senior Michael Campagna (Arlington Heights, Ill.-Saint Viator) led with five caused turnovers and tied with Weinberg and junior goalkeeper Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) at five ground balls each. Tervo served 45:00 minutes in the net, totaling nine saves before senior Alex Oximana (Seattle, Wash.-Bishop Blanchet) relieved him for 15:00 minutes and recorded three saves.

As a team, IWU's 25.50 points per game ties for 14th across Division III while its 9.38 assists per game ties for 17th. The Green and White's caused turnovers per game ranks 39th in the division.

Illinois Wesleyan brings a 5-3 overall record into Wednesday's contest while Dubuque makes the trip with a 6-4 (1-0 MLC) record. The Spartans most recently defeated the University of Northwestern (Minn.) Saturday, March 30, in UD's conference opener, 16-6.

Since the 2014 season, these two programs have met on the field nine times with IWU owning a 9-0 sweep of the series record. In their last meeting March 25, 2023, the Titans left Dubuque, Iowa with a 17-5 victory led by Seeley with four points on two goals and two assists. Senior Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) put up three goals against the Spartans just over a year ago.

Wednesday's game marks the second of three straight home contests as IWU hosts Dubuque at 7:30 p.m. inside Tucci Stadium. The contest will be available via live stats and live stream. Both links can be found on the men's lacrosse schedule page of iwusports.com or at iwusports.com/coverage
