BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team is set to battle College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe, Elmhurst University Saturday, April 20 for the Titans' senior day. IWU and EU are the last two undefeated teams in conference play as the Titans hold a 9-3, 3-0 CCIW record heading into Saturday's clash while the Bluejays bring a 10-2, 2-0 CCIW record to Tucci Stadium.

The Green and White is running on a seven-game winning streak after sweeping conference action on the road last week with a 16-10 win over North Central College (April 10) and an 18-13 victory over Carthage College (April 13). Sophomore Noah Dretzka (Delafield, Wis.-Kettle Moraine) net CCIW Offensive Player of the Week honors after boasting a 10-point week that included a career-high seven points against Carthage with five goals and two assists. Junior Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) was 2-0 in goal last week, totaling a career-high 21 saves against North Central before adding 13 more against Carthage.

Freshman Timothy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel) has quickly demonstrated his impact for the Titans as he leads the conference with 2.40 assists per game and ranks in the top 30 nationally.

As a team, IWU ranks 13th in Division III for both assists (9.67) and points per game (26.50) while Elmhurst comes in at No. 40 (22.25) in points per game. IWU and EU are fairly evenly matched across the board, making up the top two squads in many statistical categories in the CCIW.

Saturday will mark the 13th meeting between the Titans and the Bluejays. In the inaugural matchup almost 10 years ago to the day, Elmhurst came away with the 7-6 win in double overtime, April 21, 2014. Since then, IWU has built up an 11-game win streak over the Bluejays that includes an 18-15 victory in their most recent meeting, April 15, 2023. In that game, then-junior Ike Eastburn (Colorado Springs, Colo.-Cheyenne Mountain) put away three goals while then-juniors Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) and Trystan Seeley (Castle Rock, Colo.-Castle View) each scored two goals and then-sophomore Jake Gisi (Wentzville, Mo.-Chaminade College Prep) notched one.

Saturday's matinee against Elmhurst is set for 1 p.m. inside Tucci Stadium and will be preceded by the Titans senior day recognition. The contest will be available via live stats and live stream.
