BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Returning to its home field for the first time since March 2, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team is set to host Southwestern University Thursday, March 28 for a non-conference matchup. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m. under the lights of Tucci Stadium.

The Titans return to action after defeating Albion University 15-8 Saturday, March 23 on the road. Senior Trystan Seeley (Castle Rock, Colo.-Castle View) led the Green and White with four goals and five points while junior Sam Weinberg (Highwood, Ill.-Oak Park River Forest) was just behind with three goals against the Britons. Defensively, senior Zo Lombardo (Elgin, Ill.-Saint Viator) notched a team-high 11 ground balls while winning 16-of-26 faceoffs. An outstanding performance in goal earned junior Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Defensive Player of the Week honors, the first weekly honor of his career and the first for a Titan this season. Tervo is 4-2 this season in goal after Saturday's win over Albion as he totaled 17 saves – just one shy of his career-best – with a .680 save percentage.

IWU enters Thursday's contest with a 4-3 record on the year and is coming off back-to-back wins over Albion and Colorado College. Southwestern comes to Bloomington, Ill. with a 2-9 record on the year after suffering from a 20-5 loss to Montclair St. Sunday, March 24. The Titans and Pirates have met only once before, with Southwestern taking the narrow 11-10 victory back on March 19, 2021. Then-freshman Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) scored two goals against the Pirates, tying for the team-high.

Thursday's game marks the first home event for IWU since March 2 as the Titans host Southwestern at 7:30 p.m. at Tucci Stadium. The contest will be available via live stats and live stream. Both links can be found on the men's lacrosse schedule page of iwusports.com or at iwusports.com/coverage
