Men’s Lacrosse to Battle Colorado College

Final game of the Titans’ spring break trip

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Two days removed from its most recent match, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team returns to Washburn Field in Colorado Springs, Colo. to face the week's host, Colorado College, Saturday, March 16 at 1 p.m. MT. 

The Titans moved to a 2-3 record on the year after dropping Wednesday's match to State University of New York-Cortland (3-1) in a narrow, 12-9, showing. Freshman Timothy McHugh (Orland Park, Ill.-Mount Carmel) and senior Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) posted four points apiece while senior Trystan Seeley (Castle Rock, Colo.-Castle View) had three. Black led the team with four goals and four ground balls. McHugh led all Titans with three assists. Zo Lombardo (Elgin, Ill.-Saint Viator) battled at the x, winning 18 of 23 faceoffs. Junior Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) played the full game in goal, totaling 15 saves. 

The Titans have gone head-to-head with Colorado College once before, Feb. 12, 2022. The Titans doubled the points of CC to secure the 14-7 victory. In that contest, Black had the second most points for the Green and White with three all by way of goals. Seeley scored two goals against the Tigers. Colorado College enters Saturday's match with a 4-2 record. The Tigers recently fell to Muhlenberg College on Wednesday, 14-13. 

Saturday's match at Washburn Field is set for a 1 p.m. start against Colorado College. The contest will be available via live stats and live stream. Live stats can be found here while the live stream can be accessed here.
