BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Looking to bounce back from its season opener, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team readies for a neutral site bout with Sewanee: The University of the South, Saturday, Feb. 24. The contest will take place at Legacy Fields on the campus of Spalding University in Louisville, Ky. at 3 p.m. ET.

The Titans succumbed to Hope College 15-8 in the team's season opener last Saturday, Feb. 17. Nevertheless, IWU was led by senior Ike Eastburn (Colorado Springs, Colo.-Cheyenne Mountain) with a pair of goals while junior John Kittoe (Waunakee, Wis.-Waunakee) and senior Gage Black (Peoria, Ill.-Dunlap) each notched a goal and an assist apiece.

Junior Colin Tervo (West Linn, Ore.-West Linn) took his place in the net where he totaled 12 stops against the Flying Dutch. Junior Nick Schroeder (Wanakee, Wis.-Waunakee) was good for 13-for-21 faceoffs and picked up eight ground balls.

IWU and Sewanee have gone head-to-head only once before back in March of 2018. The Titans scored the first 15 goals of the game before proving victorious in a 22-13 showing.

Saturday's game against Sewanee is slated for a 3 p.m. ET start at Legacy Fields on Spalding University's campus in Louisville, Ky. The match will be available via live stats and can be found here
