Titan Table Talk: Season 2, Episode 5

Homecoming week here at Illinois Wesleyan University and that means a special long episode of Titan Table Talk! Tommy starts things off by talking to Head Football Coach Norm Eash about the teams thrilling shutout victory over the Carthage Firebirds to take the Titans to 2-0 in CCIW play. Immediately following coach Eash, we hear from two of the players who had huge performances in Saturday's blowout win, Jr. running back Danny Kent and Sr. Defensive back Frank Roti. Frank and Danny tell us about how much fun the game was, as well as take a look back at their favorite moment as a Titan. Up next at the table is Head Women's Volleyball Coach Kim Nelson-Brown. Coach Brown talks about the excitement of having a surprise visit from the men's soccer team at their game up in Elmhurst, plus a little bit about the tough upcoming schedule the Titans are about to face. A surprise fourth guest for this special homecoming addition to Titan Table Talk is Associate Athletic Director Tony Bankston. Tony makes his first appearance on Titan Table Talk to discuss the upcoming 30 year celebration of the women's soccer team that he started at Illinois Wesleyan University. He tells us the crazy story of how he got hired as the Head Coach of the men's team, and had to create a women's team from scratch.

0:00- Head Football Coach Norm Eash joins us first at the table as he gives us an in depth review of Saturday's blowout victory against the Firebirds of Carthage. He tells us how excited the team was to have a shutout victory, and how great it is to be back playing at Tucci Stadium.

9:32- Frank Roti and Danny Kent both make their Titan Table Talk debuts after they both had a great game this past Saturday. They tell us what it was like to be back at home and what they thought about the new video board and scoreboard. They also take a look back at their careers and tell us their favorite moment so far.

19:42- Head Volleyball Coach Kim Nelson-Brown is up next at the table as the Titans are starting their CCIW slate. She tells us a bit about the Titans sweep of the Elmhurst Bluejays, and how awesome it was that the Titan's men's soccer team came to the game and brought the energy to the building and fueled the team. She then talks about the upcoming schedule as the Titan's face two ranked opponents at home this week in North Park on Wednesday, and Milikin on homecoming Friday.

32:42- Associate Athletic Director Tony Bankston closes out the homecoming special of Titan Table Talk. Tony takes a look back to 30 years ago to when he was first asked by Denny Bridges to coach the men's soccer program, and start a women's program, all at age 24 with no prior coaching experience at all.
