BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- For just the second time this season, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's volleyball team will compete on its home court. The Titans (4-5) will host the IWU Invitational inside Shirk Center Friday-Saturday, Feb. 10-11, which will see six teams compete in 12 matches over the two days. Adrian College, Edgewood College, Maranatha Baptist University, Wabash College, and Wisconsin Lutheran College will be in the tournament along with the Titans.

The Titans will open the invitational with a match against Wabash College Friday, Feb. 10, at 4 p.m., followed by a date with Adrian College at 8 p.m. IWU will conclude the home tournament with matches against Wisconsin Lutheran and Edgewood, Saturday, Feb. 11, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., respectively.

Illinois Wesleyan looks to rebound after dropping its match at Fontbonne University in four sets (25-19, 25-19, 21-25, 25-20) Tuesday, Feb. 7. Junior Michael Eastman (Chicago, Ill.-Saint Ignatius) notched a double-double performance in the setback with 15 kills and 10 digs. Eastman also recorded his 500th career kill, becoming the first player in program history to hit that milestone.

This will mark the second time this season that IWU will face Wabash, Adrian, and Edgewood, having won all three of those matches.

The Green and White took down Wabash in sweeping fashion to open the 2023 season Jan. 27. The Little Giants enter the match after falling in four sets to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College Tuesday night, Feb. 7.

The Titans defeated Adrian on Jan. 27 at the Concordia University Chicago Triangular, taking down the Bulldogs in four sets. Adrian College (6-2) enters the match off a three-set loss to Siena Heights University Monday night, Feb. 6.

IWU swept Edgewood in Santa Cruz, Calif. on Jan. 27 in the conclusion of its west coast trip. The Eagles enter the invitational after being swept by Augustana College Feb. 2.

The match against Wisconsin Lutheran will mark the first meeting between the two teams in program history. The Warriors most recently fell victim to Lakeland University in three sets Feb. 5.
