BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -  The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team closed out the homecoming weekend, falling to Carroll University, 7-2, Sunday, Oct. 8. With the loss, the Titans fall to 5-6 overall, 1-6 in College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin action, while the Pioneers improve to 5-5 (3-3 CCIW). 

Freshman Amber Ehrlich (Springfield, Ill.-Glenwood) continued her dominant performance in singles action, picking up her fifth straight win at No. 1 singles. Ehrlich notched the win with set scores of 6-0, 6-2, closing out a perfect 4-0 week in singles action.

Also picking up a win in the singles portion of the match was freshman Olivia Bell (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington). After dropping her opening set, 6-4, Bell battled back to take the next two sets, 6-4, 10-4, completing the comeback. 

Illinois Wesleyan returns to action Friday, Oct. 13, as the Titans will host Wheaton College in the fall season finale. First serve is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Evergreen Racquet Club.
