Beaubien Pulls in CCIW Golfer of the Week Status

Becomes third straight Titan to earn CCIW weekly honor

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - For the third time in his career, fifth-year Bobby Beaubien (Barrington, Ill.-Barrington) of the Illinois Wesleyan University men's golf team earned College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Golfer of the Week honors the league office announced Wednesday, Oct. 4. It is the third straight week a Titan has been tabbed the league's golfer of the week, as Beaubien joins Jackson Hulsey and Raj Sethi. 

Beaubien turned in a stellar week for the Titans, beginning with the third win of his career. The Barrington, Ill. native shot five-under to finish with a 67 at the single-round CCIW Preview, Sept. 26. His score matched his career-low, previously set at the 2023 NCAA Division III National Championship. The Green and White took the team title with the Titan 'B' and 'C' teams finishing second and third, respectively. 

Beaubien continued his week at Millikin's Jim Butts Classic, Sept. 29-30, where he fueled the Titans to their second tournament win of the season. The fifth-year shot back-to-back rounds of two-under to finish with a 36-hole total of 138. His score was good for a career-best, coming in three shots lower than his previous career-low of 141. 

Illinois Wesleyan enjoys a brief break for Homecoming before traveling down to the Sunshine State for Golfweek, Oct. 15-17.
