BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Staring down four matches in a six-day stretch, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team will kick start its busy week at Monmouth College Tuesday, Oct. 3, before hosting College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Elmhurst University Wednesday, Oct. 4. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Monmouth Tennis Stadium Tuesday, while Wednesday's match will begin at 3 p.m. at Evergreen Racquet Club.

The Titans (3-4, 0-4 CCIW) enter the contest off a 9-0 sweep over Alverno College Saturday, Sept. 23. Tuesday's non-conference meeting with Monmouth (5-5, 2-3 Midwest Conference) will be the third all-time matchup. The Fighting Scots took the initial matchup, 5-4, Sept. 12, 2007, but IWU held the upperhand in the most previous meeting, taking the battle, 7-2, Sept. 24, 2017. Monmouth most recently defeated Illinois College, 5-4, in a conference bout Saturday, Sept. 30.

Wednesday's match will be the 32nd meeting between the Titans and Bluejays, dating back to the 1989 season. IWU holds an impressive 24-8 advantage in the series, including 13 straight wins from 1989-2014. Elmhurst (0-3, 0-2 CCIW) took the last meeting, 9-0, to eliminate Illinois Wesleyan from the CCIW Tournament. The Bluejays enter Wednesday's battle off a 9-0 loss at Wheaton College Friday, Sept. 29.
