Women’s Tennis Readies for Battle with IC to Kickoff 2022-23 Campaign

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team makes its 2022-23 debut in Jacksonville, Ill. Friday, Sept. 9, where the Titans will take on the Lady Blues of Illinois College. It will mark the first match under new head coach Jason Van Heuklon.

Van Heuklon returns to Illinois Wesleyan after leading the men's tennis program from 2006 to 2014. Assistant coach Ric Zamudio is also set to return after a stint as assistant coach with the team from 2011-17. Tomas Bella, a former standout at Elmhurst University, rounds out the new coaching staff.

Coming off a 3-13 campaign in 2021-22, the Titans will be look to a promising group of newcomers to lead the Titans this season.
