Titans set to play under the lights, for a 7:30 p.m. start

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team jumps back into College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play with a mid-week matchup against North Central College Wednesday, April 6. The Titans (5-4, 1-0) host the Cardinals (4-4) inside Tucci Stadium for a 7:30 p.m. start.

The Green and White will continue their homestand after a game against Aurora University, April 2, where IWU ran away with the win, 19-10. Similarly, the Spartans were also the last team North Central squared off against and like the Titans, NCC came away with the win with a much closer margin of 15-14, March 30.

The last time these two teams were inside Tucci Stadium and played one another was at the 2021 CCIW Tournament Championships, May 8. IWU, familiar to the CCIW Championship game, faced the Cardinals who made it to the finals for the first time in program-history.

After beating the Cardinals 21-12 during the 2021 regular season, the Titans would see them once more in the championship game. A game filled with excitement saw IWU and NCC go into overtime tied 17-all. After a game defining save by goalkeeper Will Harris who then fueled a quick offensive transition for the Green and White, found senior Daniel Dickerson (Wheaton, Ill.-St. Francis College) who launched the ball in the back of the Cardinals' net off a pass by Paul Mucci (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.-Bloomfield) to give the Titans its fourth straight tournament title.

IWU currently sits undefeated in the conference after opening league-play against Transylvania University, March 26, as this Wednesday game the Titans will be NCC's CCIW opener.

The game will be available via livestream here and livestats can be accessed here.
