BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team opens College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play Saturday, March 26 against newcomers Transylvania University at 2 p.m. ET. The Titans will travel to Lexington, Ky. and are the first  CCIW teams to dip their toes into conference play. IWU holds a 3-4 record as Transy awaits IWU with a 5-2 overall record. 

The Titans have only faced the Pioneers once before in their inaugural 2014 season. IWU dropped 15-8 as they welcomed TU to Tucci Stadium April 19, 2014.

The Green and White were last on the road in the east coast for its spring break trip. IWU came up short in its talent-loaded trip, squaring off with No. 4 Christopher Newport University, Catholic University, who was receiving votes, and Presidents' Athletic Conference defending champions, Grove City College. 

Transylvania is coming off a two-game losing streak against Muhlenberg College and Baldwin Wallace University, respectively. This will be its first season as a member of the CCIW in men's lacrosse.
