BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team prepares for a midweek matchup against Catholic University Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. ET in Washington D.C.

The Titans (3-2) are receiving votes in both the United States Lacrosse Coaches Association poll and in the Nike/USA Division III Top-20 list. Similarly, Catholic (3-2) is also receiving votes in both polls.

The Titans return after a Sunday game at No. 4 Christopher Newport University. In its east coast trip, IWU dropped 29-8 to the Captains. Senior attackers Rick Smith (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln Way East) and Charles Hildestad (Carlock, Ill.-St. Viator) led the Green and White with three goals apiece, as goalkeeper Thomas Laduzinsky (Geneva, Ill.-Wheaton Academy) made a career-high 21 stops.

The Cardinals had a postponed game Saturday, March 12 and have not returned to the field since a, 20-10, loss to No. 4 CNU March 5. Wednesday's night will mark the first time in program history the Titans and Cardinals will square off.
