Women’s Tennis Completes Day One of Transy Spring Invite

Titans return to the court tomorrow for a duel with Emory & Henry

NICHOLASVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team went 0-2 on day one of the Transylvania Spring Invite Saturday, Feb. 26. The Titans dropped both matches, 7-0 against Trasny and Asbury University.

Senior Maria Poehls (Wauwatosa, Wis.-Wauwatosa West) put up a fight at No. 3 singles against Transy. The senior took two matches before dropping the first game, 6-2. During the second game Poehls won four matches but could not hold on as Transy took the game 6-4.

The Titans return to play tomorrow for day two of the invite against Emory & Henry University at 10 a.m.
