BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University's women's tennis team will wrap up its fall season Sunday, Oct. 16 at 10 a.m. The Titans (0-8, 0-7 CCIW) will host North Park University in the final College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin dual match of the fall season at Beadles-Morse Courts.
Illinois Wesleyan looks to rebound after dropping its match to Elmhurst University, 8-1 Wednesday, Oct. 12. Sophomore Andie Wilson (Champaign, Ill.-Centennial) was the lone Titan to pick up a win, as she notched her first collegiate victory. Wilson defeated the Bluejays' Brynn Rubacky at No. 4 singles, as she rallied back after dropping the opening set, 6-2 to take the second set, 6-3 and the tiebreaker, 10-8. North Park (5-4, 2-4 CCIW) enters off a 6-3 loss to Augustana College Thursday, Oct. 13.
Sunday's match will mark the 10th meeting between the two teams. The Titans hold an 8-1 advantage in the all-time series. The only loss came on Sept. 27, 2015, when IWU fell 7-2 on the road. Since that defeat, the Titans have won seven consecutive matches against North Park, the most recent victory on Oct. 16, 2021 with a 6-3 win at home.
Results will be posted on iwusports.com following the completion of the match.
