BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team will play at home for its College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin opener Wednesday, Sept. 8 against the CCIW defending champion North Central College. The match is slated for a 2:30 p.m. start.

Illinois Wesleyan competed in the Warhawk Invite last weekend Saturday, Sept. 4. Freshman Amber Shuang (Beijing, Beijing-Normal U High) placed fifth in her IWU debut at No. 1 singles, winning the consolation championship. North Central opened CCIW play against Carroll University Saturday Sept. 4 where the Cardinals blanked the Pioneers, 9-0.

The Titans overall home record versus the Cardinals stands at 3-3, with Wednesday's afternoon match set to break the tie.

IWU last saw the Cardinals during the second round of the 2020 CCIW Tournament where NCC put a stop to the Titans season with a 5-0 defeat.

Results from the day will be posted at iwusports.com following the completion of the match.
