BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team continues College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play at home this weekend Friday-Saturday, Oct. 1-2. The Titans will take on Wheaton College Friday before facing Elmhurst University Saturday. The matches are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. and 10 a.m., respectively at Beadles-Morse Courts.
The Titans will welcome the Thunder with a 1-5 (0-1 CCIW) record, after IWU was defeated by Millikin University, 9-0, Wednesday, Sept. 22. Wheaton holds an overall 5-1 (3-1 CCIW) record after defeating Carthage College, 6-3, in a dual match Tuesday, Sept. 28. The Titans and Thunder will face each other for the 18th time this Friday, as IWU has yet to take more than one set against Wheaton.
IWU will bounce back into action the next day, Saturday, Oct. 2 as Elmhurst travels to Bloomington, Ill. The Bluejays currently hold an overall record of 1-2 (0-2 CCIW) and are scheduled to dual Millikin Friday, Oct. 1 before seeing the Titans. The Green and White have a slight advantage in the all-time series of 7-6, and look to break up the Bluejays' six-game winning streak over the Titans.
