ROCK ISLAND, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team suffered two setbacks Saturday, Sept. 11, in Rock Island, Ill. After falling to Augustana College, 8-1, the Titans were downed 9-0 by Grinnell College.
Senior
Maria Poehls (Wauwatosa, Wis.-Wauwatosa West) picked up IWU's lone win on the day as she took down College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Mia Reese by scores of 6-2 and 7-6 at No. 6 singles.Â
Illinois Wesleyan returns to action next weekend, Sept. 18, for non-conference duals against Principia College and Greenville University.
