Men’s Lacrosse to Battle NCC Under the Lights in CCIW Play

Titans are 2-0 against North Central

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team is back at home to play North Central College inside Tucci Stadium Wednesday, April 7 under the lights. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start. 

The Titans are on a three-game winning streak with a 6-1 overall record and sit at 1-0 in the conference. The Cardinals will travel to Tucci with a perfect 6-0 record and will open their College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin season against the Titans. 

IWU and NCC have faced each other twice since 2018, as Wednesday's midweek matchup will be the third encounter for the Titans and Cardinals all-time. The Titans are 2-0 against North Central, including a 12-4 victory over the Cardinals, April 3, 2019. 

After seven games, the Titans have four players above the 20-point threshold, including junior Rick Smith (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln Way East) leading the team with 28 points. Junior Charles Hildestad (Carlock, Ill.-St. Viator) and sophomore Connor Kiichle (Vancouver, Wash.-Skyview) sit close behind with 23 points each. Sophomore Carson Kiichle (Vancouver, Wash.-Skyview) rounds it out with 22 points. 

Carson Kiichle and Connor Kiichle lead the team with 12 and 11 assists respectively, while Smith and Hildestad lead the Titans in goals with 19 and 16, respectively.
