Men’s Lacrosse to Celebrate Seniors in Clash with Carroll

Titans eye third-straight regular season title

BLOOMINGTON, Ill.- The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team will close its regular season schedule at home against Carroll University Friday, April 30 for Senior Day. The 10-1 (5-1 CCIW) Titans will honor its 11 seniors on Friday for the 4 p.m. game. Carroll enters Tucci Stadium looking for its first win of the season at 0-5.

IWU will celebrate its 11 seniors in Will Harris (Bloomington, Minn.-Holy Angels), Max Bousky (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame), Jesse Prettner (Minneapolis, Minn.-Edina), Nick Ceko (Barrington, Il.-Barrington), Jory Vance (Milwaukee, Wis. Wauwatosa East), Jake Simpson (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln Way East), Jarren Vance (Milwaukee, Wis.-Wauwatosa East), Tanner Nelson (Hatfield, Pa.-North Penn), Ben Filo ( Wales, Wis.-Kettle Moraine), Brett Grabarek (Barlett, Ill.-Barlett), and Zeke Kalmes (Peoria, Ill.-Richwoods) as part of Senior Day.

Together the class has fueled the Titans to two CCIW Tournament titles and two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances, in the 2018 and 2019 seasons. The senior group has also contributed to the Green and White's 47 wins out of a total of 56 games during their stint at IWU. This includes a perfect CCIW record of 6-0 in 2018 and 2019, while they currently sit at 5-0 as they head into their last conference matchup tomorrow. 

The Titans and Pioneers have played a total of five times since the 2015 season. IWU holds a 5-0 record against Carroll, with their last encounter being a 28-9 victory for the Green and white in the final game of the 2019 regular season on April 27.
