Rochacz Shines as Titans Battle Big Blue

Titans host North Park in CCIW play-in match tomorrow

BLOOMINGTON, ILL. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's tennis team dropped 8-1 to Millikin University Saturday, April 24. The Titans moved to 2-10 and 1-7 in the conference while Millikin moved to 10-6 and 5-3 in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin.

Senior Rebecca Rochacz (Tinley Park, Ill.-Andrew) represented the Green and White with the solo point on senior day. The Tinley Park, Ill. native battled through two sets to overpower the competition at No. 2 singles with scores of 7-5 and 6-1.

Junior Ashley Mohr (Morton, Ill.-Morton) fought hard to push her No. 4 singles matches to extra games in both sets, but was edged by Millikin 7-5 and 7-6.

The Titans will be back at home tomorrow Sunday, April 25 for the play-in game of the CCIW Tournament. IWU will host North Park at Beadles-Morse Courts, for a start time of 11:30 a.m.
