Men’s Lacrosse Travels to Duel with Dubuque

Titans lead the conference with perfect 3-0 record

DUBUQUE, IOWA. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's lacrosse team will travel to Iowa Saturday, April 17 for a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin game against the University of Dubuque at Oyen Field for an 11:30 a.m. start. The Titans are 8-1 on the year and 3-0 in the CCIW, while Dubuque is 4-6 on the year and 0-2 in the CCIW.

Senior Max Bousky (Peoria, Ill.- Peoria Notre Dame) and sophomore Carson Kiichle (Vancouver, Wash.-Skyview) swept the CCIW Player of the Week honors, April 12, following strong performances last week. The Titans had a 2-0 week with wins against North Central College, April 7 and Carthage College, April 10, to up their win streak to five.

Kiichle had a combined four goals, eight assists, and 11 ground balls over the two games to earn him offensive honors. Bousky won 43-of-54 faceoffs and picked up a total 29 ground balls to earn the weekly faceoff honor. 

The Titans and Spartans have played a total of six times since 2014. IWU has swept the series 6-0 and has consistently kept UD below double-digits in each encounter. The last time the two met, the Green and White toppled the Spartans 30-9 in Bloomington, April 17, 2019.
