BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - A four-game homestand for the Illinois Wesleyan University softball team begins with a non-conference doubleheader against Washington University in St. Louis Friday, April 2. The Titans then host North Park University Saturday, April 3, for a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin DH. First pitch between the Titans and Bears is set for 2 p.m. at Inspiration Field, while Saturday's twin bill begins at 12 p.m.

Illinois Wesleyan enters the weekend 6-6 overall and 4-4 in CCIW play. Most recently, IWU split a midweek conference double dip at Millikin, March 31. After a seventh-inning rally fell short, 7-6, the Titans bounced back to take the nightcap, 2-1.

WashU sits at 5-6 ahead of Friday's clash with IWU and have won three of its last four, including beating Greenville, 8-3, March 30. North Park has gotten off to a strong start and enters the weekend with a 9-3 record, with a 3-3 CCIW mark. The Vikings will host Wheaton, April 1, before making the trip to Bloomington.

The Bears swept the Titans 7-6 and 1-0 in St. Louis, Mo. the last time the two tangled March 23-24, 2019. Illinois Wesleyan holds a slim 13-12 lead in the series since 2001, and is looking for its first win over WashU since 2016. IWU has a much more extensive history with North Park, having squared off with the Vikings 46 times since the 1997 campaign. The Titans are 46-0 against NPU, including a 22-0 record at home.

First pitch between IWU and WashU is set for 2 p.m. Friday, April 2, and can be viewed here, while live stats for both games will be available here.
